Curam Family Support is facilitating a 6 week Common Sense Parenting programme for parents of children aged 6-16 years.Parents will learn new skills and build on them each week, skills include; using effective praise for encouraging positive behaviour, developing techniques for using effective discipline, using consequence to change behaviour, preventing problems, correcting problem behaviour and teaching your children social skills that are beneficial for themselves and others.

Bereavement Support

Rainbows is a group programme which supports children who have suffered a significant loss through death, separation or a painful transition. Support is offered to children from 2nd class to 1st year.

Common Sense Parenting

Individual Bereavement Support is offered throughout the year in a confidential environment. Bereavement Support Group will run during November .

A two interactive workshop in suicide prevention will take place in Cúram in November. It is suitable for all in the comunity - health workers, teachers, community workers, Gardai, youth
workers, volunteers, people responding to family, friends and co-workers. Suicide
intervention training can help all of us see, hear and respond to these invitations. It can also increase our confidence to ask about suicide when someone'ssafety may be in the balance. Pre booking is essential as places are limited. Contact Cúram Facilitated by trained H.S.E. personnel

Familly Support Project

Cúram Family Support is a confidential, voluntary support service for children, young people, parents and families who may be experiencing difficulties in family life, e.g. behavioural problems, parenting difficulties etc Support is offered to them within the family setting or in Cúram and involves individual work with both parents and children.. Families are provided with supports based on their individual needs.Cúram Family Support is a free and confidential service available to families (parents and children aged 0-17 yrs) experiencing difficulties.
